First time setup: onboarding your business

When you first sign in, BuildStandard runs a short onboarding so your compliance records are tied to the right business. It is a one time setup and takes a couple of minutes.

The steps

1. Tell us about you. Your first and last name, and your primary role: Director / Licence Holder, or Office Admin / GM.
2. Your company. Your ABN, which we look up against the ABN registry, plus your website and entity type (company, trust, partnership and so on).
3. Where you build. The state you build in. We use this to tailor your compliance requirements, because they differ by jurisdiction.

Once you finish you land on your Dashboard. Everything you do from that point is recorded against the business you set up here.

Your legal name and ABN come from the registry and cannot be edited in the platform. If one of those needs to change, email us and we will sort it without disturbing your existing records. Everything else you can edit yourself on Corporate > Company identity.
