Running a Readiness Check

3 min read

Open Financial > Readiness Check. It is a guided calculator that walks you through your figures and works out your ANTA.

The calculation, in plain English

ANTA is your allowable assets, minus your disallowed assets, minus your liabilities. The calculator lists each line for you, you enter the figures, and it does the arithmetic. It also asks what capacity you are targeting, so it can show your ANTA against the threshold that applies to your state.

What you need on hand

Your most recent balance sheet is usually enough to complete it. Where a figure needs a judgement call about whether an asset is allowable, that is a conversation for your accountant, not something to guess at.

What it is not

The result is a readiness indicator, not a certified assessment. It is predictive: it tells you roughly where you would sit if you were assessed today. Nobody is signing off your financial position here, and you should not present the output as though someone has.

If the platform does not know which state you build in, the calculator will tell you. Set your jurisdiction in onboarding or Corporate first, because the thresholds differ by state.

General product guidance only. Your accountant is the right person for advice on the numbers themselves.
