Signing in with a one-time code

2 min read

BuildStandard doesn't use passwords. Every time you sign in, we email you a one-time code (an OTP) to type into the sign-in screen. A new code is generated each time, so there's nothing to reset and nothing to remember.

If your code hasn't arrived, work through these three quick checks:

1. Check the email address

Make sure the address you entered matches the one on your account. A small typo is the most common reason a code never shows up.

2. Check your spam or junk folder

Codes sometimes land in spam, especially the first time. If you find one in there, mark it as "not spam" and add our sender address to your safe list so future codes go straight to your inbox.

3. Just ask for another code

There's no reset process. If a code didn't arrive or has expired, type your email into the sign-in screen again and a fresh code will be sent.

Still stuck after those three? Email us and we'll take a look. Codes very rarely fail to send, but when they do it's usually something we can sort in a few minutes.

Still need a hand?

Email us with a short description and a screenshot if you've got one. We read every message.
